Apply a thin layer of Vaseline to the tattooed region twice day using a clean Q-Tip. The tattooed area will hold color and heal evenly if you keep the area moist for the first 5–7 days. According to the Permanent Makeup Clinic, fading of the pigment by 30 to 50 percent within the first two weeks is usual. You can gently clean the eye area with lukewarm water and freshly washed hands. Avoid using soap, cleansers, and washcloths.
After the operation, you should wait 72 hours before putting on contact lenses. Use new shoes if at all possible. When outdoors, sunglasses are advised to protect the eyes.
