Course Overview

What You’ll Learn

This course introduces core concepts and practical knowledge to help you support children and young people:

Understanding growth and development
Encouraging play and learning
Supporting positive behaviour
Health, safety, and safeguarding
Communication and relationships in childcare
Introduction to working in early years settings

Course Format

Choose between two formats:

Self-Paced Online – Study independently at your convenience
Live Online Sessions – Join a small group and interact with your tutor weekly every other Saturday 9am-1pm starting September 19th

Duration

Approx. 3 months. You can study in the evenings, weekends, or whenever works best for you.

Assessment

You'll complete tasks such as written reflections, simple assignments, or practical activities. All tasks are submitted online for tutor feedback.

Entry Requirements

None. This course is open to everyone aged 14+, regardless of background or prior experience.
