Our Quest to Raise the Bar in Early Years Education

Welcome to the very first episode of Eyes On Us, our new vlog series at QuEST. In this series, Emma and Sophie — the directors of QuEST — share their passion for Early Years education, give insights into training and practice, and open the doors a little wider so you can get to know the people behind the training.

At QuEST (Quality Education & Skills Training), we believe that high-quality Early Years care starts with well-prepared practitioners. That’s why every course, every CPD session, and every training we deliver is about giving you the tools to raise standards in classrooms and nurseries across the UAE and worldwide.

What QuEST Stands For

QuEST was founded in 2008 with one mission: to provide Quality Education and Skills Training for Early Years practitioners across the region.

Over the years, QuEST has become more than a training provider. It’s a community committed to raising standards in nurseries and schools, ensuring every child in the UAE has access to the best possible start.

As Emma and Sophie share in the vlog, their personal connection to the Early Years drives everything they do. From years of working in nurseries to raising their own children, they know first-hand how crucial those first five years are — and how important it is that practitioners are skilled, confident, and supported.

Why the Early Years Matter So Much

The early years are the foundation of all future learning. They’re the years when curiosity takes root, when children begin to understand the world around them, and when relationships with caring adults shape their development.

Emma and Sophie emphasise that you can’t achieve quality outcomes for children without investing in the educators who guide them. That’s why QuEST places such a strong focus on practical, accessible training that directly impacts classroom practice.

What Makes QuEST Different

What sets QuEST apart is involvement. When you join one of our CACHE Diplomas or CPD courses, you’re not just a name on a list. You’ll be in live online sessions with tutors who are actively engaged in Early Years education, both as trainers and as professionals who have worked in nurseries and schools themselves.

As Emma and Sophie explain:

  • You’ll have a dedicated tutor throughout your course, building a relationship that allows for personalised support.

  • Classes are interactive, collaborative, and connected to real-life practice.

  • The theory you learn is always linked to what you can apply in your own setting the very next day.

That personal connection makes a huge difference. Learners often stay in touch long after their course is complete — because the support and guidance they’ve received extend far beyond a certificate.

A Human Touch

Of course, not everything has to be serious. In this first vlog, Emma and Sophie share a lighter side too — from marathon training to cats popping into Zoom classes. These fun facts might seem small, but they reflect what makes QuEST unique: it’s professional, yes, but also personal and approachable.

Behind every course and every training session are real people who love what they do and care deeply about the Early Years community.

What’s Next

This is only the beginning. Each week, Eyes On Us will explore different aspects of Early Years education — from practical tips for the classroom to insights into leadership and inclusion.

Our hope is that these conversations will inspire you, support you, and remind you that you’re part of a much bigger community of educators raising the bar together.
