About the event

Early years practitioners play a key role in helping children to learn to manage their emotions, but this is something we can often find quite challenging.  To fully support children to manage their emotions, we must first of all understand how emotions link to children’s brain development and also to the relationships they have with the adults around them.  In this session we will explore how you can develop emotional language with children and create realistic expectations for behaviour.  We will also discuss different strategies that you can put into place to support children to understand “big emotions”.
