Introduction to EYFS

This CPD session provides a comprehensive introduction to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). It covers the Statutory Framework, outlining its content, purpose, and how it supports effective early years practice. Participants will explore the seven areas of learning and development, along with the legal requirements for observation, assessment, and the safeguarding and welfare of children. The session also highlights the importance of using both statutory and non-statutory documents, such as Development Matters, to guide planning and practice. By the end, practitioners will have a clearer understanding of how to implement the EYFS confidently and effectively in their settings.
