A ‘’Welcome Back’’ message from Dr Sarah Rogers, QUEST/EYES C.E.O.

As the weather begins to cool, it’s lovely to welcome you, our learners, back for the new term as you look forward to getting focused on your studies after the summer break. I would also like to welcome our new learners to a busy term and wish them good luck with their studies.

For some learners this will be their first term and it will be all new and a bit strange, while for others this will be their second or last term and they will be wondering where the time has gone as they are well into their studying routines.

Wherever you are in your learning, as a long- time teacher September to me is always a time of new beginnings. It promises a fresh start, cooler days and the eager faces of the young children you teach. For young children, new uniforms and stationery herald the start of new and exciting opportunities to learn, a chance to make friends and discover how much they can achieve with just a little help.

While you might not be wearing a new uniform, unless you are starting at a new setting, you might be treating yourself to new stationery to get into a learning mindset. You will certainly have the chance to make new lifelong friends or catch up with others from your group who you haven’t seen for a while.

Your tutors will be working hard to welcome you and give you the best learning experiences. Their expertise, hard work and passion for giving young children the best start in life will enable you to make the most of your studies. I know all our learners work very hard on their courses and that this hard work pays off in increased knowledge and skills about the best early years practice. Since I set up EYES in 2008 and QuEST in 2014, our vision has always been to enable our learners to gain knowledge at the highest level and to increase their professionalism in their workplace. We want to make your learning interesting and enjoyable, practical and relevant to ensure that you can make a difference to every child you teach.

I am delighted that over the years we have had many, many success stories. Success to me is when you finish your course at the end of your three terms and celebrate your increased knowledge and achievement with your family and friends. Success is when you grow, both professionally and personally, enjoy your job more and make a real difference in your workplace, being a fantastic role model for others around you. I know how much your CACHE/NCFE qualification means to you and what a difference it makes to your life. We are so proud to be recognized as the gold standard CACHE/NCFE centre in the Middle East as we believe our learners deserve the best in every way. We have enjoyed being a large part of raising standards in the early years community across the UAE and we look forward to you being part of that journey too.

Have a great term and I look forward to meeting you when it is possible for us to meet face to face.

Best wishes for an exciting and successful term ahead.
