CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Pre-school Practice (CPP)

This award has been developed through the Pre-school Learning Alliance (the largest single provider of pre-school education in England) and CACHE. This award will be highly regarded in any pre-school setting both in the UK and overseas.

During the programme you will learn about mainstream pre-school practice and also consider children with disabilities and those with special or particular needs.

Who is the qualification for?

It is for people working in pre-school practices, such as Foundation Stage settings, nurseries and playgroups. The Certificate is designed for assistants and serves as a vital way to build knowledge for those working at a supervised level.

About the qualification

The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Pre-school Practice consists of 4 units:

  • Unit 1 – Supporting play and learning in the pre-school
  • Unit 2 – Understanding and supporting the development of pre-school children
  • Unit 3 – Providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment in a community based pre-school.
  • Unit 4 – Supporting children with disabilities or special educational needs and their families in pre-school settings.

How will I be assessed?

In each unit you will be assessed by a 2000 word written assignment. One is marked by CACHE, the other three are marked by the centre and moderated by CACHE. You will receive support throughout the course to work to these assignments with guidance and individual tutorials. Full details of the assignments and marking criteria are given in the course handbook.

Progression from this qualification

This Level 2 award teaches you to work with colleagues and parents to help provide under-fives in your care the best possible start to life. It offers seamless progression to the Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice, allowing you to develop your career.

Taught session

This qualification is taught over 3 terms one seeion of 3 hours a week. Students can choose from a morning or afternoon session. Students also need to be working or volunteering in a pre-school setting for 180 hours during the course.

Cost of the Course

The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Pre-school Practice costs Dhs 16,000 including CACHE registration, comprehensive course handbook and certificate. Discount is available for group booking and BSME schools. Fees can be paid in installments.
