CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice (DPP)

This award has been developed through the Pre-school Learning Alliance (the largest single provider of pre-school education in England) and CACHE. This award will be highly regarded in any pre-school setting both in the UK and overseas.

During the programme you will learn about mainstream pre-school practice and also consider children with disabilities and those with special or particular needs.

Who is the qualification for?

It is for people working in pre-school practices, such as Foundation Stage settings, nurseries and playgroups. The Diploma is designed for current leaders and deputies and those with experience who want to progress their career from a supervised to a supervisory role. CACHE recommends that to start the Diploma you should have completed the Certificate or a relevant Level 2 qualification.

About the qualification

The CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice consists of 4 units :

  • Unit 1 – Understanding and promoting the development of pre-school children.
  • Unit 2 – Providing learning communities for pre-school and their families.
  • Unit 3 – Making the pre-school setting a supportive and safe environment.
  • Unit 4 - Working with children with disabilities and special educational needs and their families in a pre-school setting.

How will I be assessed?

In each unit you will be assessed by a written assignment. One is marked by CACHE, the other three are marked by the centre and moderated by CACHE. You will receive support throughout the course to work to these assignments in the form of guidance and individual tutorials. Full details of the assignments and marking criteria are given in the course handbook.

Progression from this qualification

When you have completed the award you might like to consider progression to higher education or Level 4 qualifications – subject to individual University or college entrance requirements.

Taught Sessions

The course is taught over 3 terms with one session a week. You should be working in a pre-school setting for a minimum of 360 hours.

Cost of the Course

The CACHE Level 3 Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice costs Dhs 18,000 including CACHE registration, comprehensive course handbook and Diploma. Discount is available for group booking and BSME schools. Fees are payable in installments.
